Bleach swords: the zanpakutō of the Soul Reapers

In Bleach, each Soul Reaper wields a zanpakutō that carries their spirit and grows with them. Every zanpakutō has a name and a spirit, and its owner learns to hear it. These replicas follow the look of two of the series' best-known zanpakutō, Ichigo's Bankai blade and Hitsugaya's Hyorinmaru. They are made for display, collection and cosplay.

Shikai and Bankai, explained

A zanpakutō has two stages. Shikai is its first release, reached by learning the sword's name and calling it. Bankai is the final and most powerful form, and few Soul Reapers reach it. Ichigo's Zangetsu shows the contrast: the oversized Shikai blade becomes the slim, black Tensa Zangetsu in Bankai.

Ichigo Kurosaki: Tensa Zangetsu

Toshiro Hitsugaya: Hyorinmaru

Toshiro Hitsugaya is the captain of the Tenth Division, and Hyorinmaru is an ice dragon zanpakutō, the strongest of the ice and snow type. How to choose your Bleach sword

Both swords are $329. Each is a full-tang replica, made to order, and you choose sharpened or not sharpened on the product page. Engraving is optional and adds $20. Not sharpened suits a shelf, a stand or cosplay photos. Sharpened is for collectors who want the blade finished with an edge: treat it like any edged blade, keep it sheathed and out of children's reach.

They are replicas in 1060 carbon steel, fan-made and not officially licensed, inspired by the zanpakutō of the series. Bleach and its characters belong to their owners.

Do you carry Ichigo's Shikai version?

Not at the moment. The Ichigo Bankai sword follows Tensa Zangetsu, and the Shikai form is not in the collection.

Which Bleach sword should I start with?

Start with the Ichigo Bankai sword if you want the series' lead character, or the Hyorinmaru sword if you prefer a captain's blade with a striking story. They also look good as a pair.

Is it legal to own a Bleach sword in the US?

How do I look after a carbon steel sword?
