Can I choose if the blade is sharpened or not?
Yes – during customization, you can select a razor-sharp edge (battle ready) or a non-sharpened display blade.
By default, our standard models are shipped sharpened.
Is every custom katana really handmade?
Absolutely. Each blade is forged, heat-treated, and polished by hand by experienced smiths in Longquan.
No industrial shortcuts, no mass production — every katana is unique.
How long does it take to craft my custom katana?
Most orders take 3–5 weeks to craft, depending on the level of customization and monthly order volume.
We’ll keep you updated at every step.
What types of steel are available?
We offer multiple steel options including 1060 Carbon Steel, 1095 High Carbon Steel, and Folded Steel.
Each type has its own characteristics for balance, hardness, and cutting ability.
Can I add engraving or kanji to the blade?
Yes — we can engrave your chosen text, symbol, or kanji directly onto the blade or saya.
Please note: this may add about 1 day to the production time.
How are your katanas different from those on Amazon or eBay?
Our katanas are real weapons and training tools, not wall-hangers.
Each sword is hand-inspected, full-tang, and built to be battle-ready.
What does “Battle Ready” mean?
It means the katana is fully functional for real cutting practice (tameshigiri).
Built with high-quality steel, a full tang, and secure fittings — not just decoration.
Is it legal to own a katana?
Yes, katanas are legal to own.
However, local regulations may vary; check your province or state laws before purchase.
How do I maintain my katana?
We recommend regular oiling of the blade, careful storage in a dry place, and using our cleaning kit for maintenance.
Proper care ensures your katana will last for decades.
